Good Sunday Morning

Well, where oh where could everyone be.  Is everyone snug in their beds with this wonderful cool weather this morning.  Out here in the IE it is overcast and very cool out.  Almost cold.  I love it. I'm sure once I post this, there will be a dozen other good morning posts made.  LOL

I have had a busy weekend so far.  Yesterday was tax class all day and then my son and his girlfriend made us dinner at their house.  It was the first time they've ever done that and were just so excited to have us there.  Even my sister and niece drove down to join us.  That was a big deal because my sister doesn't generally like to do things like that.  But it was a lovely evening with a wonderful dinner.  Mandie had to work all day so on her lunch hour she came home and put a roast, potatoes, carrots and onions in the crock pot and it was just wonderful.  My son made some green beans and baby asparagus.  I usually don't like asparagus, but this was very good.

Today brings me some laundry this morning and then we have tickets to see Tap Dogs this afternoon at the California Theater.  We are season ticket holders and even though this is not one of our season ticket shows, it sounded like it was going to be so good that we bought these as well.  I love any kind of live theater.  We were supposed to go over to a friend's after for dinner, but one of the guests got sick and that was cancelled for another time, so I think maybe Mike and I will go out for dinner after the show.

All in all, it's been a very nice weekend.  I hope everyone here has had as nice a weekend as I have.  Make your Sunday a good one and do whatever makes you happy today and remember, most of all don't forget to do something, even a small thing,  just for yourself today.

Stephanie,

Great minds just think alike!  Besides two posts are always better than one!  LOL

Sounds like you have a fantastic day planned, I hope you enjoy all of it.

It's nice a crisp and colder out here too which is a welcome relief from all the heat we've been having.  I am almost ready for a fire in the fireplace LOL  Ron has one built for the day already!

Have a great day,
Hugs,
Barb

Good Morning Steph,

I hope that you have a great time at the show today.  Dougie and I are going to have to look into going to some of those, would be a great change of pace for us.  But right now, I will have to put that on hold too.  By the way, my back is improving.  I am hoping that the hole in my back closes up within the next 3 weeks.  Would be wonderful.  Then I can start therapy.  I gotta tell you, it wasn't healing fast, so I started to take Vit E and C, and it seems to me, when I started those vitamins that the healing began to become more rapid.  I don't know for sure it that was it, but who cares...I will just say it is.

Reading Katrina talking about working Sundays, ooo, it brings back memories.  Twenty years of that was enough for me.  I am so happy NO MORE!  Wrose than that was working weekend graves!!!  Yuck.  I LOVE RETIREMENT!

Love to you, and hugs 2, Diane

Hey Di,

Love to hear that your back is doing better.  You'll be back to your old, new and improved self before long.  Just hang in there.  It will all be worth it in the end.

It would be great if you and Doug could join us for some of the shows we go to.  We get 4 shows with our season tickets but then always go to others throughout the year.  Once you are fully mobile again, I'll let you know when we plan on getting tickets for something that is not part of our season and see if you want to join us.

I've been fortunate and have never had to work other than normal types of hours.  Well except when my son was a baby and I worked nights for a newspaper.  But that didn't last too long.  As for retirement, I know I'll never have the ability to not work anymore, but I'm hoping that eventually I can do part time.   I'd actually be really happy with that.  Someday I hope.

You have a nice day.  I'm sure there will some NASCAR in there somewhere.

Love ya, send hugs to Doug from us,
Steph

Hi Stephanie,
I used to love to go to the California when I live in the IE.  Nut Cracker was always a favorite.  Have a good day.

I have to agree with Diane, retirement is so wonderful!  We are going to see the new Bruce Willis movie in about an hour.  I hear it is really good.  Bruce Willis usually is.  The weather is so nice here in the Central Valley too!  I love the spring and the fall!  Everyone have a great day!

Hey Stephanie
Saw that both you and Barb had posted this morning but I had already started my morning post under Barb. So, figured I'd end my day posting under yours LOL

Hope you enjoyed your live show today; we use to have a live theater here in Sac but they hit hard times economically so haven't been very active this past year.  I've loved live theater since I was in Junior High and took drama classes...was hooked all the way thru High School.  It was as much fun working behind the scenes as being on stage..didn't matter to me!  I was part of 'the action' hee hee

Well, I have finished my part of the motorhome transfer...yeahhhh!  Been going strong since 9.  Lon said he would vacume and wipe everything down in the old rig;  so sweet!   I discovered I didn't have that much extra stuff in the old rig...almost everything I took out went into the new rig...and all of it is put away!  The scary part is I still have storage space left to fill!!  3 drawers and a cabinet and a half remain empty...which means I actually have room for our clothes when we go some place.  No more packing a suitcase because of no place to put clothes.  I even have a closet that has room to hang clothes up!  I just know I've died and gone to heaven LOL  This rig is only 25ft long...but it is 3ft longer and 2ft wider than the old rig....pure Heaven!! ^_)

Still need to make a run to Walmart...dogs need food and I want to get 1 more set of bedding, preferrable flannel.  Got a new netflix movie to watch tonight..long one...2 1/2 hours long.  I didn't know they still made movies that went that long ha ha ha   Hope everyone enjoyed their day of Rest...and those that had to work, I hope it went easy for you.  Have a great new week, CA peeps...FALL is here!  Yeahhhhhh!!!!

Thanks for ending your day with me Nancy and glad you had such a productive day and got done what you wanted.  Your home on wheels sounds wonderful.  I'm sure you'll have many many fabulous adventures in it.

We just got home from the show and it was better than I could ever have hoped for.  I must recommend it to everyone. If Tap Dogs comes to a theater near you, go see it.  The six performers in it go non-stop for almost 2 hours.  They are so talented and work up quite a sweat.

I, like you Nancy was very active in school drama.  I played the Mother Superior in Sound of Music, Golda in Fiddler on the Roof and Vera Charles in Mame.  The best times of my life for sure.  I actually hated high school and most of the people I went to school with, but totally lost myself in theater.  There I could pretend I wasn't the loner I always seemed to be.  I had a few friends, very good friends, but didn't get into the whole cheerleader mentality as I call it.  It just all seemed so superficial to me.  Plus, not being a pretty "little" blond just seemed to make things difficult.  But then there was theater.  I do love it so.

Oh well, Mike hurt his back this morning so we just came straight home from the show and I need to go find something to make us for dinner.  I'm thinking I must have something frozen in the freezer that can go into the microwave.  I do believe that will be the extent of my cooking this evening.

Well have a wonderful rest of your Sunday and hope Monday brings clear, bright and cool skies to you.

Good afternoon/evening Stephanie and Cali. Just been chilling all day. We watched 12 Rounds with John Cena and Crank 2: High Voltage. Both were good, but 12 rounds was better. Nothing much going on tonight. Laundry got done yesterday, just need to put it all away. Hope everyone has a good evening/night. And remember, be good to yourself and each other. =) xoxoxo
